Current Project

Avril Lofts, which involves the restoration of four historic buildings, will bring 14 new condominium units to Court Street, ranging from small studios to 2-bedroom flats. Units will feature modern finishes while preserving the historic quirks of the building, with premiere access and views of the newly renovated Court Street Plaza.

The project will enable Avril-Bleh meat market to expand its production and operations, while remaining independently owned. The renovation will produce additional prep space, a new retail setup, and a permanent grill that opens onto Court Street. The project will also create a separate 850-square-foot commercial space next door to Avril’s, which will be owned by 3CDC.

Monthly Updates

A variety of work is underway at Avril Lofts. Tile is being installed in the fourth-floor condos, while walls are being painted in the third-floor condo units. On the second floor, framing is officially complete and ready for drywall. The building will receive permanent power in the next few weeks and HVAC systems will be turned on, allowing wood floors to be installed. Structural stabilization of the first-floor Avril Bleh market space is complete and ready for drywall and a new walk-in freezer and grease duct.
At Avril Lofts, demolition of the old Avril Bleh market space is complete, and crews will now begin to build their expanded meat processing facility and new walk-up grill window, which will complement the expanded Avril Bleh space that opened last month. On the building’s second floor, demolition and rough framing are complete in the condo units. Drywall hanging is underway in the third-floor condo units and was recently completed in the fourth-floor units. Flooring will be installed in the coming weeks.
At Avril Lofts, the new Avril-Bleh Meat Market opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Phase 2 of the Avril-Bleh expansion, which includes the renovation the meat processing facility and addition of a walk-up window, is now underway. Construction of the condo units on the upper floors of the historic buildings continues, with restoration of the historic atrium and rough framing work nearing completion.
Avril Bleh’s new market space is on track to be completed and open for business sometime later this month. Drywall work is nearing completion in the fourth-floor condo units and is ongoing on the third floor. Additionally, rough framing work is being completed in the second-floor units.
At Avril Lofts, construction on Avril Bleh’s expanded commercial space is progressing nicely. Meanwhile, in the residential units on the upper floors, drywall has been hung and the remaining rough-in work is underway. Earlier this month, exterior painting was completed.
Construction on the expansion of Avril-Bleh Meat Market, along with the creation of 14 condo units, is underway. It will remain open in its current location during construction, with a goal of opening its expanded space in early 2022. Structural work on the floors above has started with framing of each residential unit.
