What can YOU do at 3CDC?

The possibilities are endless, really.

3CDC is a non-profit real estate development company focused on bringing neglected buildings and spaces in Cincinnati's center city back into use. In addition to developing buildings and renovating civic spaces through complicated financing structures, 3CDC oversees the daily management and programming of Fountain Square, Washington Park, Ziegler Park and Memorial Hall, producing hundreds of free events each year and attracting millions of people to downtown Cincinnati. 3CDC also oversees an Over-the-Rhine District Management program that is focused on keeping the OTR neighborhood safe and clean.

With so many different organizational roles, 3CDC employs a diverse workforce with a wide variety of skills. And, as a small non-profit, work is often shared among departments, allowing people to excel at whatever they do best. Certain employees work solely in the office at their desk, while many others are in the field at all times, and some split time inside and out.

Would you prefer to work in more of a traditional office setting? Or is sitting inside at a desk not really your thing? Either way, 3CDC has the perfect job for you.

Are Numbers Your Thing?

As a non-profit real estate development firm, 3CDC puts together complicated financing deals, utilizing everything from tax credits to city and state grants to private fundraising to help bring dilapidated buildings and stagnant civic spaces back to life. Our Accounting Staff has to crunch all kinds of numbers.

More of a people person?

Our Events and Operations Teams manage many of Cincinnati’s premier civic spaces, hosting hundreds of events each year and welcoming millions of visitors and residents. They keep Fountain Square and Washington Park clean and safe, and full of vibrant activity.

Are you driven by development?

Our Development Staff has been involved with more than $1.1 billion worth of development work since 2003. Whether they’re starting with a blank slate on a new construction project, or restoring an historic gem, they get to oversee the project from start to finish, making their vision come to life.

Is communications your calling?

Our Marketing and Communications Staff helps spread the word on all the good work we’re doing. From corporate communications to community engagement to public relations, via print, online and social media, the MarCom department gets the message out – whether it’s about a new restaurant that recently opened in OTR, an upcoming band ready to rock on Fountain Square, or a homeless shelter that we just finished building.

Are you big on benefits?

Whether helping people in need of jobs find the right position, or helping those already hired navigate through the maze that is employee benefits, our Human Resources Staff is only happy when they’re helping. With a workforce of 70+ full-time employees, plus 120 seasonal and part-time employees, they never stop their recruiting, compliance, and benefit administration efforts.

Is organization your obsession?

Our Administrative Staff keeps it all together (and everyone else on staff in line), making sure everything runs smoothly from day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month, and year-to-year. Whether they’re coordinating calendars, preparing presentations, or managing materials, their organization skills are on point.

Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)

CSRs are essential members of our Events and Operations teams. Team members assist with facilitating event beverage sales, daily maintenance, and the cleanliness of Fountain Square (an outdoor public space at Fifth and Vine streets downtown), Washington Park (an outdoor public space located adjacent to Music Hall in Over-the-Rhine), and Memorial Hall (a performance and event space directly next door to Music Hall). Soon, team members will do the same at Ziegler Park (an outdoor public space straddling the OTR and Pendleton neighborhoods).

CSRs are responsible for working with the 3CDC staff to:

  1. Provide top-level customer service to all visitors within our civic spaces and entertainment districts.
  2. Achieve a mission of “class A” physical maintenance of our civic spaces and entertainment districts.
  3. Ensure safety for the residents and patrons of our civic spaces and entertainment districts.

Candidates should have...

  • Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in fast-paced environments.
  • The ability to clearly, effectively, and professionally interact with peers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Willingness to collaborate effectively with others to produce results.
  • The ability to remain, efficient, positive and professional when handling large crowds or under pressure.
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people (both internal and external).
