February 2022 Updates


At Avril Lofts, the new Avril-Bleh Meat Market opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Phase 2 of the Avril-Bleh expansion, which includes the renovation the meat processing facility and addition of a walk-up window, is now underway. Construction of the condo units on the upper floors of the historic buildings continues, with restoration of the historic atrium and rough framing work nearing completion.


Work is progressing nicely at The Foundry, as Deloitte’s office space has already been completed and Turner Construction’s new second-floor office space nears completion. Meanwhile, design is underway on Division’s Maintenance Group’s space, which encompasses a portion of the second floor and the entire third and fourth floors. At the street level, Royce’s buildout continues with drywall being hung inside and custom seating being fabricated. Additionally, interior framing has begun for Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, and underground plumbing work continues in the parking garage.


The 22 apartment units at Keyer Row are now 95% leased and the building’s first tenants moved in last week. The commercial spaces are nearly complete, with the final windows being installed in the coming weeks.


As Willkommen moves closer to completion, construction continues in three new buildings at 1521 Vine Street, 1512 Republic Street and 1602 Pleasant Street. In the Vine and Pleasant street buildings, painting and the installation of wood flooring, bathroom tile, kitchen cabinetry and lighting have been completed in the residential units. Lighting has been installed in the residential stairwells in both buildings, while work on the elevator shafts is ongoing. Scaffolding has been removed from the building at 1512 Republic Street and the exterior walls have been closed in. The installation of insulation and drywall continues on all floors of the building.

Construction is officially complete at 124-128 W Liberty, 1445 and 1447 Walnut, 211, 213 and 215 Woodward, 1604 and 1606 Pleasant, 1600, 1601, 1611 and 1623 Race, 1510 and 1512 Moore and 20 E. 15th Streets.
