PROJECT SUMMARY
Duncanson Lofts is a mixed-use project that includes the renovation of six vacant and dilapidated buildings into 25 condominiums and more than 9,000 square feet of street level commercial space for six businesses. The building is named for Robert Scott Duncanson, an influential, 19th century, African-American painter responsible for many of the murals in the Taft Museum of Art. These carefully renovated homes combine historic artistry with modern amenities including gorgeous bay windows with dramatic city views, secure parking, secure entrances and elevator access to most units.
The following businesses currently operate within Duncanson Lofts: MiCA, Little Mahatma, Switch, Incredible Creations, Lavomatic Cafe, Bakersfield OTR, 1215 Wine Bar, and Integrated Workspace Solutions. At this time, all the available commercial space has been leased.

The emphasis is on coffee and wine appreciation, with a smattering of tasty sweet and savory pastries. 1215 Wine Bar & Coffee Lab opened in February 2012 and rapidly became a favorite spot before, during and after work as well as weekends.

BAKERSFIELD OTR
Opened in February of 2012 by brothers who are no strangers to the restaurant industry, Bakersfield OTR was inspired by Bakersfield CA, a small agricultural city with Mexican influence. The California city is known for spawning an era of music called the Bakersfield Sound, defined by artists with a hillbilly, country attitude such as Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and others, Bakersfield OTR throws down Mexican-influenced street fare with a focus on tacos, tequilas, and whiskeys.

Switch Lighting & Design is dedicated to the idea that light has a unique power to liven the senses and elevate the spirit.
