The renovation of the Fountain Square North parking garage and the above-grade public plaza was critical to reinvigorate this premier public gathering space in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. The renovation and support from our generous sponsors, has resulted in free, fun, programmed events and activities on the Square nearly every night of the week, all year long. The renovation is bringing people back to downtown Cincinnati in record numbers and has resulted in the investment of nearly $125 million in additional private dollars around the Square and in the Fountain Square District. It continues to serve as a catalyst for new residential, retail and restaurant venues. Total cost of the Fountain Square renovation project was $48.9 million with $13 million invested from the Cincinnati New Market Fund and $7.8 million invested through the Cincinnati Equity Fund. Only $4 million invested in the project was public money.
