The Ziegler Park pool passed all inspections and officially opened to the public earlier this month, while work continues throughout the rest of the park. Concrete sidewalks and tree walls were poured to the south side of Woodward Street for the pedestrian connection to the monumental stair. Additionally, work is ongoing atop the garage, with soil placement and underdrainage taking place at the playfield level while storm drain installation and backfill continue on the north side. Elevators have been installed in both portals. Across the street in the West Park, the concrete mound for the playground has been poured and turf is being installed atop the playmound. In addition, the fencing around the basketball courts has been installed, as well as all futsal goals, backboards, and hoops. Court striping is also now complete. Crews will work on the bocce ball court in the coming weeks, and will install playground equipment, among other items. To learn more, sign up to receive project updates, or browse through the archive.
