At 4th and Race, crews are making steady progress on the project’s foundation and were able to successfully replace two fire hydrants this month. Existing excavations have been pulled for the Elm Street retention system and work continues on grouting micro piles and installing H-piles for the 4th street western retention system. The drilling of auger cast piles will begin in the coming weeks along with the removal of the last interior existing footings and backfill.
