Bakery Café to Open in 3CDC’s 4th & Race Development

CINCINNATI (February 28, 2022) – Experienced restaurateur Ai Lin has signed a lease to open a popular bakery café chain location inside Cincinnati Center City Development’s (3CDC) recently completed 4th & Race project. Paris Baguette will occupy a 3,200-square-foot space inside the new development at 124 W. 4th Street.

Lin, who is originally from New York City, came across a Paris Baguette located near her mother’s house in Flushing, Queens—there are three in the neighborhood now—and became fond of the concept.

“Pastries and cakes will be big,” said Lin, while discussing what she hopes to bring to this area of Fourth Street. “We have 11 cake holidays, including Father’s and Mother’s Day, and Fourth of July.”

Lin has a history of operating franchises, including Sichuan Chili and Gyu-Kaku BBQ, the latter of which has luckily survived the pandemic. “If I believe in the concept, I want to open one,” Lin said. “I saw the potential here.”

When looking for a space for Paris Baguette’s first location, Lin was informed of the growth occurring in Downtown Cincinnati, and her agent suggested one of 3CDC’s new spaces in the area.

“We’re very excited to add a specialty bakery to our lineup at 4th & Race,” said Lindzie Gunnels, Senior Commercial Leasing Officer with 3CDC. “We realized the success of Paris Baguette around the world, and think the concept is going to bring a lot to this corridor.”

Paris Baguette has nearly 100 locations in the United States. Lin is opening Ohio’s first location, set in Downtown’s Central Business District.

Paris Baguette is the second tenant to sign at 4th & Race alongside Mayweather Boxing + Fitness.
