September 2017 Project Update

15TH & VINE

As crews install the exterior sheathing of the building at 15th & Vine, others are diligently working inside to install mechanical systems. The building will receive permanent power in the coming weeks. Construction remains on schedule for completion in late January. Leasing information for the office and retail space is available on the 3CDC website.

RENNEN & BEECHER FLATS

At Rennen & Beecher Flats, crews have begun selective demolition at 1505 Race Street, in order to stay on schedule. This includes interior demolition of walls and stairs. A new roof has also been installed on the building. Over the course of the next few weeks, full construction will begin.

MUSIC HALL

Crews are putting the finishing touches on numerous areas throughout Music Hall, in preparation for its big reveal next week. Drywall hanging is complete and carpet installation is now underway in Corbett Tower. The orchestra risers in Springer Auditorium are being stained, as well as the plywood for the orchestra pit. The marble flooring in the Main Lobby is being cleaned, and flooring in the lounge has been completely installed. New sidewalks have been poured outside the Hall, as well as a lane to accommodate limousines. To look back on this amazing journey, check out the Project Update Archive.

THE GLASSMEYER

To finish the project by mid-October, crews are working diligently. Appliances, plumbing and light fixtures are being installed, while interior and exterior paint work continues. Tile work is slated for completion in the coming weeks. Mirrors, cabinet hardware, bathroom accessories and other finishing touches will come together as the project nears completion. Outside the building, courtyard railings are being installed and painted.

EMPOWER MEDIAMARKETING

Exterior cladding is wrapping up, and new sidewalks are being poured at the corners of 14th & Vine and 14th & Walnut, as Empower MediaMarketing employees prepare to relocate to their new home. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place in the coming weeks to celebrate the completion of the project and official opening of the new office space.

ABINGTON RACE & PLEASANT

Site work is underway at the rear of the properties, just south of Liberty Street. New sidewalks and walkways are being installed, as well as ramps for ADA accessibility in the units on the first floor. A new pad and fence has also been installed for the trash area. The residential units within 1523-1527 and 1529-1531 Race Street are nearing completion, with finish work well underway. The commercial storefronts have been fully installed, while work on the white box continues, with restroom installation, drywall, and prep for new hardwood flooring. At 33 Green Street, the new wooden storefront has been completed with the final panes of glass. Exterior paintwork is well underway at all properties, and preparation for stoop installation is complete in front of the storefronts on Race Street.
