September 2015 Project Update

Construction is underway on the second commercial space in the 84.51° building, which will be filled by the Americano Burger Bar. Work on the new restaurant, the third restaurant concept from Via Vite owner Cristian Pietoso, is slated for completion in Winter 2015.

ZIEGLER PARK

Members of Ziegler Park’s design team held the fourth, and final, community workshop to discuss the Park’s renovation late last month. After presenting the community with the preliminary Master Plan for the Park, the team fielded questions about the proposed changes. A final Master Plan is now being created, which will eventually be submitted for formal review and approval from various governing bodies, such as the Park Board, Historic Conservation Board and City Council.

MERCER III TOWNHOMES

At 14 Mercer – the historic rehab portion of the Mercer III Townhomes project – the four renovated condominiums are scheduled to be completed and available by the end of October. Work on the construction of the new townhomes is ongoing, and is expected to be finished by the end of 2015.

YMCA

All demolition has been completed at the Central Parkway YMCA, and contractors are in the process of installing metal stud framing. In addition, the elevator shaft is in the process of being built, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-ins continue. Meanwhile, crews are preparing the exterior window frames to be painted.

PARKSITE

DAVID & REBECCA BARRON CENTER FOR MEN

Crews are finishing work at the Barron Center, which is scheduled to be completed in early October. On the western half of the first floor, furniture installation is underway and painting is nearly finished. Meanwhile, on the eastern half of the floor, painting, and bed installation is underway. Additionally, elevator installation has been completed, and the installation of new stairs is underway. Outside the building, the courtyard has been substantially completed, and exterior cladding installation is underway. A ribbon cutting to celebrate the Barron Center’s grand opening is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, with clients tentatively scheduled to move in the following week.

THE OSBORNE

Work is progressing nicely at the three buildings that comprise The Osborne. 1509 Pleasant Street is expected to be completed in early October, as crews have already finished painting and installing millwork, appliances and flooring. Meanwhile, at 118 and 122 W. 15th Street, crews are working on trim and painting, as well as millwork and hardwood flooring installation. In addition, improvements are underway on the common courtyard the three buildings will share.

UNION HALL

Construction is expected to be finished later this month at Union Hall. With work already completed in certain areas of the new start-up innovation hub at 1311-1315 Vine Street, some staff members from CincyTech, The Brandery, and Cintrifuse have already started working out of the space.
