October 2023 Updates

THE ANNIE

Significant progress is being made at The Annie, with crews hard at work in both buildings. At 218 W 12th Street, flooring and tile installation is underway. Drywall work has begun at 216 W 12th Street, with paint and flooring to follow in the coming weeks. Both buildings are on track for completion by mid-2024.

DUKE ENERGY CONVENTION CENTER

3CDC is working with City and County officials to assemble the legal and underwriting team needed to structure the project’s financing. Aided by the support of the local hotel community, Hamilton County Commissioners recently approved a 1% increase in the County’s Transient Occupancy Tax. This will provide a critical source of revenue for project financing.

Currently, the project team is in the process of selecting design-assist subcontractors for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes. Schematic design drawings for the building renovation have been completed and the team is working to update the construction budget.

Lastly, the park that will be built on the former Millennium Hotel site is in schematic design and will be completed in the coming weeks.

CONVENTION HEADQUARTERS HOTEL

Architects are currently working on schematic design drawings for the future Convention Headquarters Hotel. Simultaneously, the Ohio Department of Development is reviewing the project’s Transformational Mixed-Use Development application, which would provide a $40 million tax credit to be used in gap financing for the project if awarded.
