October 2017 Project Updates

15TH & VINE

Masonry restoration work is underway in the historic buildings throughout the construction at 15th & Vine. Additionally, restoration of the historic alley is scheduled to begin in November. Air barriers are being installed on the building’s sheathing, with window installation to follow, beginning on the Vine Street façade. Lastly, construction of Jeremy and Bridget Lieb’s new restaurant at the corner of 15th & Vine began earlier this month, with an anticipated opening in spring 2018, shortly after the building’s expected completion. Leasing information for the office and retail space is available on the 3CDC website.

RENNEN & BEECHER FLATS

At Rennen & Beecher Flats, general contractor Titan Real Estate Group has started work with its subcontractors onsite and will continue work for the next 12 months until the project has reached completion. Demolition work has wrapped up, and site excavation work will begin soon.

MUSIC HALL

Music Hall officially reopened its doors to the public on Oct. 6, celebrating the completion of its $143 million renovation. To look back on this amazing journey, check out the Project Update Archive.

THE GLASSMEYER

Construction at Glassmeyer is drawing to a close. Walls, windows and doors are receiving their final coat of paint, while plumbing and light fixtures are being installed. Additionally, finishing touches are being made throughout.

COURT & WALNUT

Crews recently broke ground at the site of the Court & walnut project. Contractors have completed the initial two-foot site undercut and are currently removing large underground obstructions. The initial phase of installing the deep foundation system is also underway, as structural tests are ongoing to ensure the system was properly designed.

ABINGTON RACE & PLEASANT

Work is progressing nicely at Abington, Race & Pleasant. Construction is wrapping up on Race Street units 1523 – 1527, as well as on units 1529-1531, with final paint and finishing touches taking place now. Site work is ongoing, with concrete walkways, residential gates, and fencing being installed. In units 1533-1535, drywall and hardwood flooring are also being installed. Painters will move from the first few properties down to this property as drywall work wraps up. Lastly, crews continue to work on the elevator at 33 Green Street, as kitchen cabinetry and hardwood flooring is being installed.
