November 2018 Project Updates

RENNEN & BEECHER FLATS

At Beecher Flats, the installation of cabinets and countertops is now complete. Installation of electrical, HVAC and plumbing fixtures has been completed, as well. Storefront installations are moving forward, in addition to appliance installs.

At Rennen, cabinets have been installed and the interior paint has been completed. Work on the exterior is underway, with the installation of storefronts and siding ongoing. The interior is still in progress, including installation of appliances, countertops, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing fixtures.

MEINERS

Construction has started at the Meiners Building, with the removal of masonry infills, interior structural reinforcement, and foundation prep work. Additionally, work on the windows has begun and the analysis of historic trim work in underway.

ELM INDUSTRIES

Construction is underway at Elm Industries, highlighted by preliminary interior work on the new elevator, masonry work, and structural reinforcement on the wood structure.

COURT & WALNUT

Work on Court & Walnut project continues to progress nicely. Concrete for the second-floor stairwell has been poured, and the glazing frames and composite panels have been installed on the south elevation. Framing is underway in the future Kroger lobby and the bakery freezer. In the next few weeks, drywall installation will begin, in conjunction with floor polishing on the first floor and painting in the second-floor stairwell. COLUMBIA FLATS

Construction on the mixed-income Columbia development is expected to begin in December following closing, with a 7.5-month construction schedule, wrapping up in July of next year.

BEHLEN

At the Behlen Building, demo and cleanout has begun, including; digging for elevator tower foundation and the removal and replacement of the existing floors. Furthermore, prep work is underway for new underground electrical service.

4TH & RACE

Full construction is currently underway at 4th & Race, as crews started on the removal of existing concrete slabs and demolition of the existing foundations, while backfill continues. The next step of the project will begin during the first week of December, with earth retention along Race Street.
