Hutch Baby opens permanent space on Vine Street

CINCINNATI (November 27, 2019) – Hutch Baby, an upscale, fun and vibrant children’s clothing store, will open its permanent space at 1209 Vine Street on Friday, November 29.

The clothing store will celebrate the grand opening of its new space with special Black Friday details, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, snacks, and drinks. The fun starts at 11 a.m.

Owned by Alexus Hight, Hutch Baby opened in Kenwood Towne Center before leasing a temporary space from the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) on Elm Street in Over-the-Rhine last year. Hutch Baby’s new permanent 1,240-square-foot space on Vine Street will also be leased from 3CDC.

The store hand-picks brands that are made sustainable with the environment in mind. Clothing sizes range from newborns to age 14-16 in youth. The store also carries infant accessories and natural skincare and body care products for babies and children.

Hutch Baby will be more than just a shopping experience, said Store Manager Ashley Wilson. The new space will have a play area for children in the back, to keep them entertained while parents shop. It will also feature a lactation room for mothers, so they can pump breast milk or nurse in privacy and comfort – a particularly convenient feature for women who may be out shopping around Over-the-Rhine and need a nursing break.

“We want customers to have a personal, interactive experience,” Wilson said. “Hutch Baby wants to help you as a parent. We’re watching your kids grow as we grow as a business.”
