Rooted Juicery Set to Open Second Location in OTR
CINCINNATI (April 17, 2025) – A plant-based juice bar and kitchen offering a variety of vegan foods, cold-pressed juices, and a carefully curated retail collection, Rooted Juicery, is set to open in Over-the-Rhine (OTR) late next month. Owner and CEO Aaron Kull recently signed a lease to bring the concept to 1218 Vine Street – a 936-square-foot space owned by Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC).
Kull acquired the business, initially founded in 2015, in February 2024, with the goal of growing the brand in Cincinnati and beyond. After more than 15 years in the healthcare and technology space, Kull wanted to move closer to the consumer and pursue a dream of entrepreneurship and business ownership. As a Cincinnati native, Kull had long been a fan of Rooted Juicery and thought the brand aligned perfectly with his goals.
“I wanted to have a greater impact on the health of the consumer and the communities in which they live,” Kull said. “Cold-pressed juice and a natural and plant-based diet can be an incredible source of nutrition and a key factor in overall wellness. Moving into OTR allows us to become part of the downtown ecosystem, expands our footprint, and allows us to serve more of Cincinnati.”
With another store on Madison Road in Oakley, the OTR location will be Rooted Juicery’s second storefront. The juice bar is best known for its fresh juices and smoothies, made from the highest quality fruits and vegetables, nut butters, seeds, herbs and more. Aside from their wholesome beverages, they also offer breakfast sandwiches, coffee & tea, smoothie bowls, sandwiches & wraps, salads and desserts. Most items are made in-house with ingredients that are clean and organic. Whenever possible, they also use raw, dehydrated ingredients to give consumers the highest nutritional density.
“With more folks looking for on-the-go, healthy options, Rooted Juicery will fill a void in the neighborhood with an array of nutrient-dense items,” said Christy Samad, Executive Vice President of Civic & Commercial Space Activation for 3CDC. “Fresh, cold-pressed juice is hard to find nearby and we’re eager to expand the list of dining options available in OTR to better serve health-conscious consumers.”
The OTR store will operate as a “take-away café,” offering a full menu of convenient grab-and-go items like juices and smoothies, bagel sandwiches, Deeper Roots coffee, and baked goods, in addition to candles and other non-food items. Rooted Juicery will also offer cleanses that utilize clean, cold-pressed fruits, vegetables and nuts to give the body rest from the stress and toxins that humans encounter on a daily basis.
Rooted Juicery plans to open its doors late next month. Currently, Kull and his team are working with Urban Sites to make minor improvements at the new location that will optimize the space to allow for additional foot traffic.
