Variety Store Opening in 3CDC’s Willkommen Development

Dis Und Dat to Celebrate Grand Opening on Saturday

CINCINNATI (June 11, 2026) – Christine Sieverding, an Over-the-Rhine (OTR) resident with a passion for community, recently signed a lease for the 949-square-foot space located at 124 W. Liberty Street in Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC)’s Willkommen development. She will celebrate the grand opening of her variety store, Dis Und Dat, at the space on Saturday.

Sieverding named the shop as a tribute to her late mother, who once dreamed of authoring a book titled Dis Und Dat. Though that dream was never realized, the store’s name honors her parents’ legacy. Furthermore, with deep ties to her heritage — as the daughter of German immigrants who grew up in a German community and later married into a German family — Sieverding felt a natural connection to the space in the Willkommen development, as “willkommen” means “welcome” in German.

“Given my background, Willkommen was a phrase I had heard often,” Sieverding shared. “When I realized Willkommen was the name of the building, I instantly knew this space would be the future home of Dis Und Dat.”

Dis Und Dat will offer a wide variety of items, blending novelty and everyday essentials. The shop will feature everything from newsboy caps and beer steins to practical items like ponchos, umbrellas, and clear stadium bags. It will also include a selection for children, such as inflatable toys, candy, stickers, and books, along with loose beads and a rotating assortment of seasonal miniatures.

A bright space, the store is adorned with white furnishings and decor that plays into the colors of the nearby mural, Tongzhi Fae. Sieverding hopes that Dis Und Dat will act as a third space for residents and visitors alike – a place that evokes happiness and anyone can come, stay awhile, and feel welcome. She plans to show old movies, play records, do crafts, and host pop-ups to keep people engaged and coming back.

Dis Und Dat joins Biscuit Love and Alabama Fish Bar in the Willkommen development and is a short walk from Findlay Market and TQL Stadium. The grand opening is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and everyone is invited to stop by and peruse the store. Following the grand opening, the store’s hours will be as follows:
