Pippi’s Announces Opening Date in OTR
Boutique Salon Debuts on Vine Street with Unique, Client-Focused Experience
CINCINNATI (August 20, 2026) – Pippi’s, a new boutique hair salon founded by Cincinnati color specialist Madeline Heile, will welcome its first clients Monday, August 31 at 1502 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine (OTR). The salon’s 2,710-square-foot space is being leased from Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC). Online booking is now open ahead of the salon’s debut.
Pippi’s offers a range of gender-inclusive color, cutting, styling and waxing services in a salon environment designed to support both guests and stylists. Operating on a systems-driven model that prioritizes consistency, creativity and efficiency, the salon encourages its team to think critically, work intentionally and continually refine their craft. This approach not only elevates the guest experience but also creates a culture where stylists are trained, mentored and empowered to grow professionally.
“From the beginning, my goal was to create a salon that prioritizes both the guest experience and the success of the artists behind the chair,” Heile said. “I wanted a space where I could support other artists through education, mentorship, collaboration, and sustainable growth. When I found this space, I immediately saw its potential. It sits between north and south OTR, and with so much energy and investment happening nearby, it felt like the perfect place to bring this vision to life.”
Pippi’s is currently home to two experienced stylists, as well as four apprentices focused on refining their craft through hands-on-education, 1:1 mentorship, and advanced training. Clients interested in supporting the apprentices’ growth can serve as “models” and enjoy salon services at a reduced rate.

We’re excited to welcome a business that will help activate this section of Vine Street and contribute to the ongoing momentum north of Liberty Street.”
In addition to its eight-chair salon floor, Pippi’s includes space for community events and pop-ups featuring local businesses. The salon will kick off its opening with a matcha pop-up from UNWND and plans to partner with other local entrepreneurs throughout the year. Pippi’s is also proud to support the U.S. debut of RICA, a premium Italian haircare brand founded in Sicily in 1993. Inspired by the island’s natural resources, RICA is known for its commitment to sustainably sourced, natural and organic ingredients, paired with rigorous quality standards to create high-performance professional haircare products.
Heile collaborated with Cincinnati-based integrated construction and development company 8K, as well as Brush Factory, Sediment, and Indio, on the salon’s design and buildout.
