OTR Boutique Joins Forces with Worldwide Leader in Women’s Empowerment

Shop for a Cause: Upcoming Event to Benefit Dress for Success Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (March 9, 2026) – Bobbles & Lace, an affordable high-fashion boutique that opened in Over-the-Rhine (OTR) last year, is partnering this week with Dress for Success’ local affiliate for a special shopping event. Closet Cleanout for a Cause will take place Thursday at the boutique’s OTR location at 1209 Vine Street; a space leased from the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC).

As the leading global organization championing women’s advancement in the workplace, Dress for Success Worldwide focuses on empowering women to achieve lasting economic mobility. Through its international network, the organization provides support, professional attire, and career development resources. Since opening its doors in 1997, it has grown to 130 network members across fifteen countries and supported more than 1.3 million women in their journey toward self-sufficiency.

Bobbles & Lace owner Amanda Logan-Athmer shares this passion for empowering women, with a goal of changing the shopping experience to bring back the fun and celebration. She and her staff find joy in transforming how women feel about their clothes and believe in an empowering and inclusive community where every woman can feel confident and beautiful.

“March is International Women’s Month, and I couldn’t think of a better way to honor the contributions, achievements, and struggles of women throughout history and today,” Logan-Athmer said. “I have donated items from my personal wardrobe to Dress for Success, and I’m excited to educate other women about the great work they are doing both in our community and globally.”

Closet Cleanout for a Cause, benefiting Dress for Success Cincinnati, invites local women to donate their gently worn clothing to support the organization’s mission. These contributions will directly help women in the community step into interviews, new jobs, and fresh opportunities with confidence. Guests can enjoy light refreshments & drinks, live music, fun photo moments, and exclusive shopping — plus, 15% of all event sales will be donated to Dress for Success Cincinnati. The event welcomes everyone to clear out their closets, uplift local women, and come together for a day centered on fashion, generosity, and community.

As an added incentive, participants who bring a friend who donates will receive $10 in Bobbles Bucks, with their guest receiving the same benefit.

All excess donated items collected during the event will be distributed to Matthew 25 Ministries, ensuring that every contribution continues to support the broader community.
