3CDC plans to begin convening Ziegler Park community stakeholders on a regular basis in early January, prior to the start of construction.
Work has picked up on the 8th and Sycamore project, as a 140-foot-tall crane was installed on site earlier this month. In addition, crews are currently working on pouring foundations for the mixed-use project, which will include a 500-car parking garage.
At the Central Parkway YMCA, walls have been framed and mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-ins continue. In addition, drywall hanging is underway and expected to be completed in January, while work on the elevator shaft is in progress. Outside the building, HVAC roof top units have been installed.
The Race Street Condos project, which serves as one portion of the broader 15th & Race project, officially commenced in late November 2015, with the installation of underground foundations. The project, which will yield 17 condominium units and three commercial spaces, is expected to be completed in 11-12 months.
Construction has officially started on Memorial Hall. The renovation is expected to last 12 months, with the Hall scheduled to be back open for events in January 2017.
