Brewd to Celebrate Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Coffee and Craft Beer Concept Now Open on Court Street Plaza
CINCINNATI (April 30, 2026) – Following a two‑week soft opening, California natives Rodney and Janine De Iorio will officially celebrate the grand opening of Brewd with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony tomorrow. The coffee shop and tap house is located at 34 E. Court Street, occupying a 2,200‑square‑foot space leased from Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC).
The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., taking place just outside Brewd’s front doors. To mark the grand opening, Brewd will offer all-day happy hour specials, including $2 off draft beer, 25% off cocktails, 25% off fries and tots dishes, and $1 off any coffee or tea purchase. The celebration continues at 5:30 p.m. with Lattes & Lecture, featuring local historian Anne Senefeld of Digging Cincinnati History, who will explore the history of Brewd’s Court Street location.
“It is incredibly rewarding to see the vision for Brewd come to life,” said Brewd co-owner Janine De Iorio. “We’re excited to take a moment to celebrate with our neighbors.”
Brewd blends coffee and beer culture into a single, welcoming concept, serving locally roasted coffee from La Terza, tea from Churchill’s Fine Teas, spirits from Five Stories and Willow Run, and a rotating selection of Cincinnati craft beers across 18 taps. Guests can enjoy local favorites and neighborhood staples like Rhinegeist, Brink, Westside, and HighGrain, with recent additions including MadTree Sway. The menu also features a full lineup of food options — from breakfast burritos to handcrafted sandwiches — many inspired by cherished family recipes rooted in the De Iorio’s California upbringing.
“Brewd was designed to serve a broad cross-section of downtown visitors — from business professionals seeking a morning coffee and a place to meet, to evening guests stopping in for a good brew and conversation,” said Christy Samad, EVP of Civic and Commercial Space Activation for 3CDC. “Court Street Plaza offers an incredible mix of bars and restaurants, including Afterlife, Mid City Restaurant, Daruma, Onolicious Hawaii, Court Street Kitchen, and Pata Roja, all just steps away. Brewd complements this vibrant destination perfectly, and we’re thrilled to have this addition to the area.”
Following the grand opening, Brewd will be open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. A schedule of events and activations at the space can be found online at https://brewdcincy.com/events/. Through these events, Brewd hopes to foster a sense of connection throughout the community and become a space that is known for its warm, inclusive environment.
