Solhaus Brings Yoga, Pilates and More to the Neighborhood

CINCINNATI (September 18, 2025) – Former corporate colleagues turned co-founders, Amy Townsend and Kim Jostworth recently signed a lease to bring Solhaus Yoga Studio to 15 W 14th Street in Over-the-Rhine (OTR). The studio will occupy 2,480 square feet of space across the second and third floors of the building, which is owned by Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC), with popular bar Low Spark anchoring the ground floor.

Designed as a place for people to come together and be, Solhaus will offer heated and non-heated yoga, mat Pilates, breathwork, yin and meditation, in addition to a variety of wellness workshops. Co-working space will also be available.

“Our vision was to build a space centered around community wellness,” Townsend said. “A place where people could move, breathe, or simply be still — and walk away feeling recharged, grounded, and restored. The layout of this location, with its two distinct yet connected floors, felt like the perfect canvas for the range of services we’re excited to offer.

Thoughtfully designed across both levels, Solhaus’ first floor, known as the Moon Floor, is a bright, expansive space dedicated to movement. Framed by white brick walls and enhanced with color-changing lights and adjustable brightness, it can shift from energizing to serene depending on the mood of the class. Upstairs, the Sun Floor offers a cozy, inviting retreat for workshops and gatherings. Outfitted with plush couches, a charming window seat, communal tables, and complimentary coffee, it’s a space that encourages connection and reflection. Both floors are brought to life by stunning murals from local artist Slink, adding a layer of creativity and warmth to the studio’s atmosphere.

“Solhaus is a dynamic complement to the area’s growing energy, offering a thoughtfully designed space for movement, mindfulness, and connection,” said Christy Samad, Executive Vice President of Civic and Commercial Space Activation at 3CDC. “Surrounded by vibrant bars and restaurants, and less than a block from Washington Park, a wellness studio brings a nice balance to the area. Their mission to foster community through wellness aligns beautifully with the energy of OTR, and the space they’ve chosen couldn’t be a better fit.”

The studio, which is run by Kristin, Wellness Manager, and Sakina, Yoga Manager, will host a robust schedule of daily classes, each designed to accommodate between 25 and 35 participants in an inviting, spacious setting. Drop-in sessions are available for $22, while unlimited class memberships offer a flexible option for regular attendees. In keeping with its mission to foster inclusive wellness, Solhaus will also offer monthly Community Classes — free or donation-based sessions where participants can pay what they’re able. This approach ensures that everyone, regardless of financial circumstance, has access to the restorative benefits of the classes Solhaus offers.

To celebrate its grand opening, Solhaus is hosting an open house tomorrow, followed by a weekend of free classes on Saturday and Sunday — an open invitation to experience the studio’s unique energy and offerings. After the festivities, new students can take advantage of a special promotion: an unlimited month of classes for just $45.

Solhaus is also running a limited-time membership presale, featuring exclusive offers designed to welcome the community and kickstart your wellness journey.

  • 20% off class packs
  • Two weeks unlimited for $22
  • One year unlimited for $800

Following the grand opening weekend, the studio will be open Monday thru Thursday from 6 AM to 8 PM, Friday from 6 AM to 2 PM and Saturday & Sunday from 9 AM to noon, unless otherwise noted. For additional information, please visit www.solhausotr.com.
