January 2026 Updates

CINCINNATI CONVENTION CENTER

After 18 months of construction, leaders from the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, State of Ohio, Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC), and other project partners and key stakeholders gathered in January to celebrate the completion of the Cincinnati Convention Center’s $264 million transformation.

The 750,000-square-foot convention center now features a striking glass façade, upgraded meeting rooms and ballrooms, a fully renovated Queen City Ballroom with an adjacent outdoor roof terrace, and enhanced building systems designed for energy efficiency and flexibility. As the second completed milestone in the Convention District’s revitalization—alongside Elm Street Plaza—the transformed convention center positions Cincinnati to attract larger, more prestigious events and drive long-term economic impact for the region.

Progress also advanced on the Convention Center Garage, which remains a key component of the district’s transformation. Crews continued repair and restoration work, including conduit installation, painting, lighting upgrades, and structural remediation. Crews also began installing structural steel in the new elevator shafts and prepping to pour the Level 2 concrete slab. THE FINDLAY COMMUNITY HUB

Construction activity remained strong this month at the Findlay Community Center. Masonry wall construction was completed for the gym, locker rooms, and pool, and slab-on-grade concrete was poured for the gym, locker rooms, and roller rink. Crews also advanced structural steel work, with pool trusses and the deck completed and gym trusses currently underway. CROSSROAD HEALTH CENTER

Crews continued making steady progress this month at the Crossroad Health Center site and within the 1715 Republic Street building. Site work advanced with the completion of granite curb installation for the sidewalk replacement and the start of paver installation, which is now complete for a portion of the parking lot. The second storm detention system was also installed. Inside 1715 Republic Street, first-floor work included the completion of plumbing and electrical rough-ins, bathroom tile, and drywall installation. On the second floor, crews completed drywall and bathroom tile installation, began prime and accent painting, and continued millwork and casework installation.
