CINCINNATI CONVENTION CENTER
Just over six months after starting construction on the reimagined convention center and adjacent Elm Street Plaza, work continues to progress at a steady pace, and the transformative impact of the development is becoming more and more recognizable. With exterior demolition complete, crews are continuing to install structural steel along Fifth Street and have started exterior framing work toward the east end of the street. On the building’s interior, work to rough in new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing lines is ongoing, and on the second floor, the construction team has started installing new drywall.
At the Elm Street Plaza project site, the construction team has completed the mud mat foundations for new plaza structures and work is now focused on pouring wall foundations. PAYCOR HEADQUARTERS
While Paycor’s acquisition by New York-based company Paychex dominated headlines in the early weeks of the new year, the sale has not impacted Paycor’s future home in the Fountain District, as the company is progressing with the development of their downtown location as planned. Construction progress at the project site has continued to advance at a steady pace. The new curtain wall is almost completely installed on the Fifth and Race street facades and soon, crews will begin installing substructure for the building’s new terracotta tile accents. Once completed, terracotta will frame all window openings, enhancing the building’s modern appearance. THE FINDLAY COMMUNITY HUB
Earlier this month, the Cincinnati Planning Commission approved key lease agreements that are required to move forward work on the Findlay Community Center development project and the Crossroad Health Center’s relocation. 3CDC and project partners are currently working to close project financing ahead of a targeted construction start in Q2. The project’s construction documents are currently in progress.
