CINCINNATI CONVENTION CENTER

This month, the design of Elm Street Plaza started to take shape as construction crews formed and poured foundational walls for the space’s new permanent buildings. Work on the convention center also continued to progress on track as crews focused on installing structural steel and framing along the Fifth Street exterior façade. On the building’s interior, crews completed renovation work in the basement and are now cleaning and returning items previously housed in the space from their temporary storage location in the exhibit halls. Crews continue to rough in new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as complete interior framing and drywall work throughout the building.

In honor of American Heart Month, the American Heart Association made a generous and timely donation of a blood pressure monitoring machine to the project site at the convention center. The new machine further enhances the commitment of the construction management team to a safe and healthy environment inside and outside of work for the over 180 trade workers currently onsite. Workers will have access to the machine through the duration of the construction project. PAYCOR HEADQUARTERS

The construction team is continuing to make excellent progress on the Paycor Headquarters mixed-use redevelopment project. This month, crews finished installing the building’s new glass curtain wall and have continued underground site work in preparation for the new streetscape with major tasks including the removal of old light and traffic poles from the sidewalk and readying the area for new curbs. Many key project materials also arrived onsite in February, including new electrical gear, which will supply the building with permanent power; custom-made terracotta tiles from Germany, which will ornament the new building façade; and limestone, which crews are currently installing as a base around the building’s exterior.
