The City of Cincinnati owns numerous properties in the Over-the-Rhine area near Findlay Market that are vacant and eligible for redevelopment. In June 2014, Cincinnati City Council selected Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) as the recipient of a Preferred Development Agreement (PDA) regarding the portfolio of these properties.
The terms of the PDA outline the goal of redeveloping the portfolio in a timely manner, and to that end, 3CDC serves as the reviewer of proposals from third-party prospective developers and provides recommendations to the City. 3CDC is working in partnership with the City to review and recommend viable projects that meet the City’s objectives for the program.
3CDC also has its own inventory of vacant properties that the organization is willing to sell to individuals and third parties for the development of projects that will positively contribute to the revitalization of the neighborhood. Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they have the ability to advance the project and complete it in a timely fashion.
