Afterlife Sets Opening Date with Vibrant Court Street ‘Blok’ Party

Cincinnati’s Newest Cocktail Bar Mixes Creativity and Community for Big Debut

CINCINNATI (September 3, 2025) – Following an intimate soft launch with close friends and family, owner Tracy Liu is ready to officially unveil Afterlife – Cincinnati’s newest haven for inventive cocktails, soulful music, and meaningful connection. Conveniently located at 44 E. Court Street, Afterlife will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, beginning at 11 AM, as part of the Court Street Blok Party. A lively, family-friendly street festival that will turn the Plaza into a dynamic celebration of art, sound, and community spirit, the spelling of “Blok” gives a gentle nod to Blok Game – the DJ hosting the street party.

“It’s been incredibly fulfilling to see my vision come to life, and I’m beyond excited to share this milestone with the entire community,” Liu said. “Afterlife isn’t just about great cocktails—it’s about creating a space where people can connect, unwind, and truly be themselves. It’s a welcoming hangout for meaningful conversations and new friendships.”

A vision brought to life by Commercial Construction Group and INDIO, an interior design firm in Cincinnati, Afterlife boasts a retro-futuristic style of décor, with yellow flooring, tall ceilings and natural light that leave patrons feeling cozy, warm, and drawn to the space. The bar focuses on a creative, food flavor-driven cocktail menu, including drinks called Ramen, Zeal, and Moxi. “Tracy’s concept is a valuable asset to Court Street Plaza, complementing a diverse mix of food and beverage establishments that each contribute their own unique character to the block,” said Christy Samad, Executive Vice President of Civic and Commercial Space Activation at 3CDC. “Afterlife brings an electric, lighthearted energy to the Plaza, offering an inclusive and inviting space where people can gather, connect, and enjoy themselves — regardless of the occasion.”

The Blok Party will launch with a refreshing morning yoga session, then keep the energy flowing all day with live DJ sets, exciting giveaways, a bustling local vendor market, and late-night dance parties. To make the day truly unforgettable, AfterLife will host a variety of immersive activations that blur the line between ‘party’ and ‘experience,’ with hidden surprises, interactive games, and unexpected rewards just waiting to be discovered. A number of other Court Street businesses will also be open during the celebration with patio seating and delicious food. To accommodate the party, Court Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Vine and Walnut from 7 AM until 10 PM.

Following the grand opening, Afterlife will be open Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays) with the following hours:

• Tuesday – Thursday: 4 PM to Midnight
• Friday 4 PM – 2:30 AM
• Saturday: 2 PM to 2:30 AM
• Sunday: 2 PM to 10 PM
