Local Businesswoman Signs Lease for OTR Storefront

CINCINNATI (March 17, 2025) –  Dayton native Amanda Logan-Athmer recently signed a lease to open women’s clothing boutique Bobbles & Lace at 1209 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine (OTR). Situated in a 1,240-square-foot space Logan-Athmer is leasing from Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC), she plans to open the store later this spring.

Logan-Athmer has always had an affinity for fashion – but it wasn’t until she stumbled upon Bobbles & Lace in Portland, Maine that she officially decided to open her own store.

“I’ve never been a boutique shopper,” Logan-Athmer shared. “I tend to look for items that are more affordable. I saw some items from Bobbles & Lace on a mannequin in Portland and fell in love – and the best part was that the clothes were both boutique-style and affordable.”

Now, Logan-Athmer is making the same high fashion accessible in OTR at an affordable price. With pieces for every season, Bobbles & Lace combines the everyday needs of a modern woman with stylish pieces that make a statement. The store will offer clothing for day-to-day wear, formal events and professional settings, as well as jewelry, handbags and shoes, with products suited for almost every age group. Individualized, and complimentary, personal styling sessions will be available to everyone who sets foot in the store, affording each shopper a private styling experience.

“Vine Street is an OTR shopping destination, especially for women’s apparel, and Bobbles & Lace is a valuable addition to the growing retail community in the neighborhood,” said Joe Rudemiller, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for 3CDC. “Bobbles & Lace is also a woman-owned business that shares 3CDC’s desire to cater to a wide range of demographics by making their clothing accessible at an affordable price.”

Bobbles & Lace is working with an in-house designer to create the look and feel they are known for. Upon completion, the space will have a high-end, art deco appearance. Eventually, Logan-Athmer plans to offer Cincy-centric apparel in colors that are perfect for supporting hometown favorites like the Reds, Bengals and FC Cincinnati.

In addition to providing a unique shopping experience, Bobbles & Lace will also host “Girls Night Out” gatherings in the space. Patrons can book these events where the store will be closed to the public while they enjoy an evening of shopping with friends, champagne and snacks. Separate community pop-up events will also be held on occasion.
