20 Year Retrospective

To commemorate 3CDC's 20th year and to reflect on the progress the organization has made, we’ve compiled a list of 3CDC’s major milestones over the last two decades. Beginning with the 2006 renovation of Fountain Square, 3CDC’s first large-scale development effort, the organization has played a direct role in over $2 billion in development projects in the CBD and OTR.

In its work, 3CDC has remained committed to inclusivity through its development of affordable housing, efforts to fill street-level commercial spaces with minority- and women-owned businesses (MBEs & WBEs), and commitment to partnering with MBEs and WBEs on its construction projects. The organization has also strived to give the entire community an equal opportunity to utilize all of the programs and amenities at its civic spaces. Lastly, 3CDC has taken on a number of projects to assist community members in need — specifically those facing homelessness and addiction — and been dedicated to hiring a diverse staff, with a focus on fair-chance hiring.

The progress 3CDC has made over the past 20 years has resulted from a true collaboration among key stakeholders and would not have been possible without the support of Cincinnati’s corporate community and the City of Cincinnati. While the organization is proud of the work that has already been completed, we are excited to build on the momentum we’ve generated as we embark on the next 20 years.
