Poco Moco Restaurant Group Opening New Concept Near Ziegler Park Tomorrow
CINCINNATI (June 2, 2025) – Located at 213 Woodward Street near Ziegler Park, 10th Island Tiki Bar & Grill is set to welcome the public tomorrow, beginning at 12 p.m., for its official grand opening. The second concept by Poco Moco Restaurant Group, the same brand behind Court Street Plaza’s Onolicious Hawaii, 10th Island will feature burgers and sandwiches, mussels, calamari, tiki cocktails, traditional shave ice and more.
The restaurant is conveniently situated in a 1,504-square-foot space owned by Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) and has been designed to make patrons feel like they are on an island getaway all year long. The windows are completely covered in images of tropical foliage that complements the island-style interior décor, making it the perfect spot to enjoy classic Hawaiian fare.
“If you travel to Hawaii, you will find that not all restaurants are serving the classic dishes the island is known for,” said Vincente Benedett, who co-owns Poco Moco LLC with his wife, Elena. “However, if you go to a deli, or ‘okazuya,’ bar or grill, you’ll find that these aren’t your average establishments. Their offerings are all unique to Hawaii – and we are bringing that same uniqueness to Cincinnati with 10th Island.”
Upon opening, the restaurant will have its full menu available including somen noodle salad, mahi mahi fish tacos, piggy mac – a dish that consists of macaroni & cheese with kalua pig – and more. The drink menu will feature adult beverages like mai tais and pina coladas, in addition to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic shave ice in flavors like mango, strawberry, coconut, and kiwi lime.
“Summer is a busy time of year at Ziegler Park and 10th Island fits seamlessly into the hustle and bustle of pool season,” said Christy Samad, Executive Vice President of Civic & Commercial Space Activation for 3CDC. “Not only will pool-goers have a convenient dining option just steps away during the summer months, but this new and unique Hawaiian eatery will generate foot traffic to the area year-round.”
Following the grand opening, 10th Island will be open Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. It will be closed on Mondays. Separately, Poco Moco LLC will host its annual Father’s Day luau in Ziegler Park on Sunday, June 15, and all are invited to attend. Seating begins at 5 p.m., followed by an all-you-can-eat buffet at 6 p.m. and live entertainment, including live music by Dave Inamine, Jr. Volcano Choy & Kai Kalama (American Idol, season 8) and traditional ukulele, as well as hula and fire dance performances, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Visit onoliciousgrinds.com for additional information and to purchase tickets.
