Washington Park Community Plan

The second Washington Park Planning meeting was March 27, 2007. Read the article about the meeting from the Cincinnati Enquirer. See below to review Human Nature's presentation and the public's input from the first meeting. The final Park Planning meeting is now scheduled for November 27th, 2007 at 6pm at Memorial Hall. Human Nature will present their conceptual designs for public comment.

History of OTR Rap Sessions

The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) completed three public forums called the Over-the-Rhine Rap Sessions during the months of October and November 2006. Each session pertained to a redevelopment agenda for the Washington Park district.

The first Rap Session presented 3CDC's vision for redeveloping Over-the-Rhine. The second presented the project designs for Music Hall Square. The final session initiated the Cincinnati Park Board's community planning process for redesigning Washington Park.

The public was given the opportunity to respond during each session. Feedback included concerns over 3CDC's redevelopment efforts in Over-the-Rhine, the fusion of the Music Hall Garage design with existing historical structures, and the planning process for Washington Park's redesign and use. The community's feedback during the Rap Sessions will help direct 3CDC and its partners with future development efforts.

3CDC will continue the Rap Sessions on a smaller scale. 3CDC will engage OTR stakeholders with future speaking engagements and individual sessions with neighborhood residents.
