June 2015 Project Update

PARKSITE

Painters are working on the exterior of Parksite, as new windows have been installed throughout the building and the elevator installation is underway. In addition, interior units on the north side of the building are currently being framed and drywalled, while the south units are undergoing mechanical rough-ins.

MERCER III TOWNHOMES

At 14 Mercer Street (the historic rehab into 4 condos), all interior framing and rough-ins are complete, all new windows have been installed and drywall hanging has started. The new-construction townhomes are 50% framed, with window installation and mechanical rough-ins scheduled to get underway once the framing is finished.

MEMORIAL HALL

Bids submitted by general contractors seeking to work on the Memorial Hall renovation are currently being reviewed. Meanwhile, work on completing the financing package is still ongoing, with the goal of closing financing in time to begin construction in summer 2015.

DAVID & REBECCA BARRON CENTER FOR MEN

A new opening for the roughly 4,000-square-foot courtyard has been created at the Drop Inn Center Men’s Facility, and construction of the new roof and exterior masonry repairs are currently ongoing. In addition, new windows are being installed on the exterior. Current construction also includes interior masonry work for the last of three shelter areas, drywall hanging, and framing for the new clinic area.

CITY GOSPEL MISSION

City Gospel Mission’s two-building campus is nearly completed, as crews are currently working on minor finishes inside Building 2. Furniture delivery and installation will be taking place in early July, and a ribbon-cutting has been scheduled for July 23.

THE OSBORNE

At the Osborne, exterior tuck pointing has been completed at 1509 Pleasant Street, in preparation for painting. Meanwhile, ongoing work at 118 and 122 W. 15th Street includes electric and plumbing rough-ins, as well as prep work for drywall installation.

UNION HALL

Work is progressing nicely at the new start-up innovation hub at 1311-1315 Vine. Current construction includes roof work, drywall installation, plaster repair, mechanical and electric work, historic trim and window repair, and painting.

1201 WALNUT

3CDC, Agar, and Market 6 have all opened their new offices in the former Pabst Bedding Warehouse. Lachey’s, a new bar and restaurant collaboration between Nick and Drew Lachey and 4EG has also been open on the corner of 12th & Walnut since December 2014. Construction continues in the one remaining tenant space on the 1st floor, to be occupied by KMK. The building is expected to be completed and fully occupied by July 2015.
