August 2015 Project Update

ZIEGLER PARK

Ziegler Park’s ongoing fundraising efforts were buoyed by the news that the project was chosen as one of six finalists for Transform Cincinnati. Although no funding is guaranteed, this ensures that 3CDC will be given the chance to present the Park’s transformative potential to prospective investors and funders.

YMCA

Demolition has been completed on the commercial portion of the Central Parkway YMCA project, and load bearing walls are currently being built on the basement level. In addition, plumbers have started under slab rough-ins, and plaster repair in the entry lobby is underway.

THE OSBORNE

Interior painting is underway at 1509 Pleasant Street and 118 W. Fifteenth Street, two of The Osborne’s three buildings. Hardwood floor installation and tile flooring is underway at all three buildings, and casework installation has also begun. In addition, painting of the exterior trim on cornices and windows has started.

MERCER III TOWNHOMES

Work is progressing nicely at the Mercer III Townhomes project. At 14 Mercer, the major work of framing, rough-ins, drywall, flooring, trim, and casework has been completed. Installation of countertops, fixtures, and appliances are now underway. Meanwhile, the new townhomes are fully framed and have been roughed-in, and drywall and flooring installation are underway.

PARKSITE

Parksite is steadily approaching its fall completion date, as work on installing finishes continues. The north side of the building is trimmed and tiled, and cabinets have been installed. The south units are fully framed and drywalled and the inspections of mechanical units are nearing completion. The project is expected to be finished in mid-October.

DAVID & REBECCA BARRON CENTER FOR MEN

Construction on the Drop Inn Center Men’s Facility, which will officially be called the Dave and Rebecca Baron Center for Men, is nearing completion. Current work includes finalizing painting, accent painting and installing door hardware in the western office and administrative area. Additionally, interior painting is taking place in the three shelter areas, and crews have started installing courtyard windows, epoxy floors, and carpet.

THE OLSON

The five residential units that comprise The Olson – three flats and a pair of two-story condos – are now on the market. Pricing and other listing information for the units is available at www.OTRLiving.com. In addition, the 830-square-foot commercial space on the ground floor is available for lease.

THE ALLISON

The construction of 17 condominium units and three commercial spaces on Race Street, just north of 15th Street and Taft’s Ale House, is projected to start in early September 2015.

UNION HALL

While construction has finished in some areas of Union Hall, such as the historic 2nd-floor beer hall, work is still ongoing elsewhere in the three buildings located at 1311-1315 Vine Street. Outside, each building’s façade has received a fresh coat of paint and the historic windows of all three buildings have been restored. On the interior, crews are working on finishing carpentry, restoring historic trim, painting, and installing light fixtures.
