Named in honor of famous Cincinnatian William Howard Taft, the 27th President of the United States and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, this three-story brewpub offers a different patron experience at each level. The ground floor serves as a tap room, featuring Taft’s Ale House’s own brews, of which there are 10, along with craft beers from other breweries and craft cocktails. A little waffle company that has been selling waffles at Findlay Market, farmers markets, and festivals since 2007 opened a storefront café on Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine in September 2011. The café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving sweet and savory crepes, salads, baguette sandwiches, and Belgian-style entrees such as moules-frites and carbonnade.
